A guy here in town has a 68 GTS 383 4-speed that he wants to trade to finnish paint work on a 69 Road Runner. The car is on a rotisory. The guy that he had working on it was a friend of his that did body work as a hobbie. The owner wanted it restored. The body guy thought he wanted it customized. Now the bad news. The rear end got norrowed. The rear suspention was set up for air bags. It now needs rear frame rails. It need new 1/4 on the drivers side. He shaved the doors. Messed them up really bad. So now it needs differant doors. It only has a short block coreict year but not numbers. It has the tranny but no bell houseing. It dose have the rest of the 4-speed set up. all interrior is there but needs restored. The hood is there but not the inserts. The rest that he says is there I havent been able to see. So I can't tell what it will need.

What I need to know is what is a Turquoise Blue with white strip down the side, white interior 383 4-speed GTS Dart worth when its done? This will help me decide what I want to do. I'm thinking the car is almost just a parts car. With everything thats wrong with it maybe high dollor value as it sits would be around $2000 at most. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The cost of finnishing the R/R for him is going to be about $8000. The body work is mostly done and needs blocking and painting. Materials will be between $1500 and $2000 for everything including cutting/buffing.

As most of you know I have a 68 Dart Convertable They would look good sitting next to each other when done. But I don't have to have it.

ummmm    without pics it is hard to say ---  non numbers matching - needs alot of work - $2000 is on par i think

Thanks for the replie Rolling_Thunder. It dose have the correct exhaust manifolds. I found a pair on E-bay going for a little over $500. I just wish I could find more info about a done car. I found a convertable clone with a 340 and 727. Hes asking 28,000 for it. Also found a 69 340 GTS with an asking price of 25,000. I could always put the 4-speed in my convertable and clone it with the 383. Thats too much power for a convertable though.
