ok this may sound stupid, but i am changing my turn signal switch in my 70, and the steering shaft came out of the steering box by accident.  must be missing a pin or something, anyways i cant seem to get the shaft back in the box to make the steering column sit flush now. am i missing something?

Your steering shaft is collapsible, the upper and lower shaft are held in place by plastic rivets that have probably sheared off. Some folks repair by filling the voids with epoxy or glue.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

the problem, i cant get the silly thing onto the steering box, for some reason it wont slide onto the gear. :scratchchin:

70 sublime

I believe it can only go one one way as there is a double spline in one spot
