My body seal kit came with the roll up quarter glass to side glass seals but they don't look like the ones that were on my original glass. The ones that came off of my glass have a felt type coating. What is the difference between the ones that are just rubber? Do they seal any less than the felt ones? Not sure I want to shell out 40 bucks for something I don't need.

Anything after 1962 was flocked.  The flocking aids in the ability of the glass rolling up between the two panels.  If it is not flocked, the surface adhesion between the two pieces will make it more difficult to roll the glass up.  The quarter glass seals usually retail in the $20 to $22 range, depending upon where you purchase them.  I have sold hundreds of the Soft Seal brands and really no complaints.  We also carry the Steele brand and they are more expensive, but for the money, the Soft Seal variety will work fine.
