I'd bet the fenders are at least 40 lbs each, the hood must be near 80-90 lbs, the bumper isn't more than 20-25. Collectively these parts could save 150-175 lbs. You will be in pretty deep dollar wise though!

I would love to have those carbon panels. Especially the hood.

And its nice to see some 70 body panels finally being reproduced.

The price is probably reasonable for the cost it took Speedkore to produce these, but its still way too much for me anytime soon.

I'm surprised to see that my fiberglass fenders are only 4 pounds heavier than the carbon fiber ones.

The fenders seem pretty dear, but the bumpers and valance seem very reasonably priced.

The bumpers alone would seem like a nice touch for a not-all-out custom car.

I think I will pass.  While I like carbon fiber materials, I am researching on something that is potentially much stronger, yet even lighter than those materials.  If it works like I think it can, it will eventually be going on one of my non-stock projects....

Looks like about $8000 for the whole 1970 Charger set. 


The 'Fast & Furious' movie car crew have been using fiberglass 1970 Charger front clips for years.  They named the supplier in an article one time and said they were pretty happy with the quality of the stuff.

Looking at the Cuda parts why in the world would they make the raisin bran hood before a AAR hood? I would think the AAR hood would sell much better?

Even if I was a millionaire there's no way I would pay $550.00 for side markers.

Once you buy any one of these panels for your 70 Charger, you're trapped. You're going to want to buy the other panels to warrant getting the first one. You will never recoup the funds as it's not OEM parts. Unless you're in your teens or early 20s and plan to own the car for the rest of your life or if you're so stinkin' rich, this is a losing proposition.

I posted this link a few other places. I've seen some respond about the weight savings for racing. Imagine coming into a turn too hot and wiping out the front end! That would hurt the wallet for awhile!

The stock steel hood weighs 65 lbs.  Using CF for that would save quite a bit of weight.  The weight is high up on the front end and it's not in the worst place for damage risk. 

As for the fenders & bumper, yeah, fiberglass would be a better cost/risk ratio there. 



I'd rather see all this stuff reproduced in aluminum than CF.

I think just the bumpers would add a nice look to certain colored cars, black, gray, and Sublime come to mind.............

Very interesting...   way too $$$$ for me.      But I'm sure some hotsh*t custom builder is looking at those for some sema project.

Now they say they have 68, 69, & 70 fenders, hoods, valences, bumpers.      But I only see pics of 70s.   68/9 pieces differ from 70s.    Don't know if they have separate molds for 68/9 or are they just assuming.

Anyway... reminds me of like 15 years ago when Autobody Specialists listed carbon fiber fenders for Chargers as 'coming soon' so I called them on it several times...  that obviously never happened.

Checking the link I put up with the original post, it now shows a 404 code, page not found.
They must have had no takers.
I forgot what their prices were for the fenders. Now it has a script that states to contact them if a part isn't listed. That must mean that they might make something up to order but aren't stocking everything that they offer.

i think they were 3500/4000 each or something like that, i swear i saw a conversation about it being cheaper for someone to buy a whole 70 car for just the fenders instead and fix rust.

There have been people that ask if or when AMD would tool up to make fenders for the 1970 Charger.
 The 1968 and 1969 fenders are around $900 each.
The 68/69 fenders are not that much different than the '70.
It would be interesting to take a new reproduction 68/69 fender and modify it using bits from an original '70 fender.
You'd only need the extreme front end and then the lower section where the valance attaches.

I know 1970 front end is a 1 year only design but damn they could sell a lot of them if they'd start reproducing 70 fenders and hoods.

I'm sure if they were smart, they'd do the research....How many cars remain, how many need fenders, then how many people would step up and buy....?
