It really shows that somebody put some time, effort & money into that car.

It is one of your old cars?  :icon_smile_big:

Beautiful car by the way, congratulations.  :2thumbs:

Thanks guys!

6bblgt, awesome, great pics!  How did it look in person? (if you remember)

Porsche trade was a 1995 Carrera 2. (911/993)

Carrera 2. Cool car in it's own right.... you just lost a lot of garage space.   ;D

I was in AWE! of the rear shoulder belts, that's pretty much all I remember

looks like a very detail oriented restoration, but a May '68 Charger with the additional c-pillar "arrows"?  :shruggy:

that's what I was thinking  , such a late vin with a side ways arrow  :scratchchin:  perhaps those older back in the day shots are not as old as we are thinking  :scratchchin:  :shruggy:

That is a damn nice 68! I'd be very happy with that one for sure!  :drool5:

the tires appear to be raised outline letter GOODYEAR POLYGLAS GTs, which would make the pic ~1975 at the earliest

Thanks guys, I thought it looked really nice in the pics but your comments are encouraging  :2thumbs:

crj1968, thanks, the 993 was fun and I'll be sad to see it go but I have another sports car so I can live without it.  Really looking forward to the Charger! I'm fortunate enough to have 3 garages so no worries on space

Yea that's what I thought too, only the early builds got the arrow on the c pillar  :shruggy: :shruggy:

Good catch.  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

shoulder belts, deep dish wheel covers, and chrome door lock stems are all late 68 items. C pillar arrow is an early 68 item. Trim ring Magnum's (Road Wheels) did not appear until 69. some mismatched interior parts (minor).

I don't think the  unsilenced aircleaner and the A/C go together (I may be wrong). My research says no pie tin on a 383 Hp in 68. (but I put one on mine).

No chrome exhaust tips in a 383 HP car (I have them on mine). Master cylinder reservoir is wrong.

But I would agree a nice restored car. Wonder if the engine matches? At least it is the right color.

My 68 H code has A/C and un-silenced air cleaner. Pic below is the day I purchased it. Could PO(s) changed it?? My guess it's the original.

Hey look, no pie tin....I'm not sure about the A/C..but I know I will be corrected....

Yea no pie tin. I went on a massive internet research to find out if it did receive one. Got too many conflicted answers. I'm putting a red "383 FOUR BARREL" one on mine. I got a repop one from C.I. but would love to find an original even if it has dings and chipped paint.

since we are correcting things - there is no such thing as a 383HP 1968 Charger   & NO pie tin

I don't know if this is your first Charger, but an addiction is likely to set in where you'll need a couple more garages.   :icon_smile_big:

Hmmmm.....nice colour.....I thnk???! Jewish Racing Gold??

take your comment somewhere else!!!!   :Twocents:   Fuctard!!!!

Nice...a little unnecessary perhaps. Just a little joke as I don't particularly like gold cars. It's a common enough phrase in the UK motor trade...you know British racing green, Italian racing red, German racing silver....etc etc. Looking at who you guys voted in for President I assumed all Americans had a MASSIVE sense of humour! Lol.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Jewish racing gold....Not sure I understand but I laughed at it. I can take a joke. I also get a big laugh seeing others get offended by jokes....Why get all pissy??? Too many people get offended nowadays. When society is too afraid to offend, they will be be too bland to entertain.
The radiator yoke needs the blackout. No biggie. Also, whats with that intertia ring at the front of the drive shaft? Is that a stock feature?
I've never heard of or seen rear shoulder belts in a Charger. That is some cool stuff.

Haha, well I can't get a permit for another garage which is probably a good thing. This is my first Mopar but the car is still nostalgic to me as my best friend had a 69 in high school that I spent a lot of time in.

I'm storing his 70 Roadrunner for the winter so seeing that every day was a bad influence leading up to this purchase

I've had a couple cars with that on the driveshaft also. If my memory is correct they were both 67 Coronets....   :scratchchin:

If it was perfect would you want to drive it? As it is now you gotta worry about getting a rock chip in paint on undercarriage since it's painted instead of undercoated. I wouldn't drive down any dirt roads with it. LEON.

Bad B-rad

MY 69 H code(383 4bbl) A/C Charger had the duel snorkel air cleaner on it org, not sure if it had a  pie tin. But I don't know if 68 and 69 were the same or different.
Very nice car.

It looks so good it would be PITA to drive and keep it that nice. Good luck!!!!!

Dino

Drive it! It's a waste to park it. So it gets chipped, happens to your brand new car as well. Sucks but it's par for the course. I'd drive that car rain or shine.
