"Charger Emblem" on roof-sail panel area

68 Charger
The emblem I am referring to spells out Charger.
It is on the roof sail panel area.
What material is it made of?
It appears to be chrome plated but it is non-magnetic, and pitted.
Suggestions?

Probably cost way more to have them restored than to just buy new. I think the new ones are made by Chrysler anyways. Made from pot metal I believe.
