I always hate doing this, but is there a special pass word or secret hand shake to get an order filled through Bill?  :scratchchin: Kinda of going down that same path I had with Mancini...  :brickwall:

LOL.. and such a nice laid out website to boot! Oh well, I guess I'll just order the drum springs from ECS and be done with it.

(glad I read before your edit! LOL)

Less than an hour for Tom at ECS to get back to me with a total, with postage, and I needed another jar of RPM anyhow. Out tomorrow in the mail, now that's service. :2thumbs: :yesnod:

Been waiting for over a week now on Rolik Ent, despite read receipts being clicked, but hopefully Bill will get back to me as well, as there's still a few things I need from him (or elsewhere) that ECS doesn't sell.

I have made several purchases form Bill this year.  My secret was to place the online order, wait for the invoice to pay via paypal, if two days went by and no invoice I called his cell.  Two days after I paid, I called.

He has always called back in the same day and explained if there was any delay....

I think most of the delays are due to low or no inventory.. Which happened on several of my orders but he fully communicated that....So once paid he orders from his vendors...

Bill is a great guy and just has a small operation on the vintage Mopar parts side!

I did the order on line over a week ago.. then added an item via email the next day by copying / forwarding his "I'll get back to you on total for your order" email. He has clicked read receipts and still no response.

It's only a couple small items that won't be needed for some time, so maybe I'll just wait to make a final "snag" list of parts at the very end and order them at once to save shipping costs.

I never had a problem with orders by giving him a call after I placed one....

Yah, okay. I haven't picked up a phone to do business since about 1998. I do 100% of my own business via email, on my timeline, as when in the shop I can't get on a phone while building someone a new wing with time sensitive curing materials or to be distracted while building an engine. That said "my timeline" means all email gets answered first thing every morning, at lunch or when I come in for supper until about midnight. Daily, weekends included. In this case it would take 15 seconds to type "I'm on it".. after clicking a read receipt. A better use of time than people keeping him on his cell phone all day, unless he loves to talk!  :scratchchin:

I get what your saying and I am not arguing with you.  If one has a site with an ordering format there is no reason why an order cannot be billed, paid, and shipped within 7 days.  That is why I call and become a nuisance until I hear it "shipped."  I have bought from Bill for years and what I said earlier is how I was able to expedite my orders.  Bill does not converse a lot and is a gentleman.....and he has called me back in the past around 7-8pm....

If you cannot reach via email, it takes 10 seconds for a simple for call and you can leave a message saying when you will be available, so it doesn't impact your schedule......once you get him on the phone why not express your concerns then......

Me and Bill have talked numerous times over the years. I have no doubts you will get your order.

Keep in mind his parts business is no longer his full time gig. He has a full time job and the parts biz had to take a backseat to making a living .

Just ordered a few things from him myself,,none of which I have a pressing need for at this very moment.

I've never had anything but good things to say about Bill Rolik in the 30 years I have known him.
I've helped him. He's helped me.   :2thumbs:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

birdsandbees

Good to hear guys... I mean him no ill will, just don't understand having such a beautifully laid out website, automatic ordering and email notification and then nothing as follow up. Maybe when I get down to my final snag list I'll give it another go with Bill, for now I cancelled my order and got my immediate needs from Walden.

Just heard from Bill and he can't currently fill part of what I need... so I'm just going to wait until I'm well into final assembly as to the (hopefully) last snag list and consider Bill and other options if necessary. Thanks to everyone concerned.
