I ordered an Instrument Cluster Gasket kit from Classic Industries. I cannot for the life of me figure out where this gasket is supposed to go. I did not observe this gasket that is in the kit anywhere on the cluster during disassembly. Please advise.
There are few problems in life that cannot be solved with C-4.

That goes on the firewall bulkhead for your dash harness. Seals the wiring harness to the firewall.
