Depending upon your engine combination, there may be power gains running a 4500 flange adaptor DOWN to a 4150 std Holley Intake manifold, rather than 4500 Carb directly to 4500 Intake.
Sounds goofy I know,
but check around the internet for dyno results, the INDY 440-2A 4500 to 4150 as an example on the INDY manifold, again relative to combinations.

Not goofy at all. I have seen the same thing. Basicly acts like a venturi. Measure for hood clearance.

If you want to go with a Dominator carb, get a two circuit one, stay away from the three circuit ones.

To get a Dominator to work right in a street ride it will need TLC. You will need to change out jets in the metering blocks (Emulsion Bleeds), change out the Transfer Slot and Idle Feed restrictors, Air Bleed jets.. Play around with engine timing depending on what kind of cam is in the engine. I dont know how much you worked on carbs, but to get a Dominator to work right is a challange and takes work, but most of all you need patience...

..AFTER you read through the threads I posted and understand the modifications you need to do to the carb, THEN you become a member of this forum http://racingfuelsystems.myfunforum.org/index.php Here youll get all the help you need with your carb tuning. Be prepared that the first thing the members in this forum will ask you before they will help is -Have you read through, understood and done/about to do the mods outlined in the threads I posted above!
