I think it was about 4 month's ago that I checked on the availability of a brake booster for my 68. It seems like they were about $115.00 for a rebuilt one for 4 wheel drum brakes plus the core deposit. I just checked today at a couple of parts store's, one of them was NAPA. I was told the only option is to send my booster off to have it rebuilt, there aren't any on the shelf. :rotz:

Hope you're not giving up that easy.

Don't let the lazy fella at your local NAPA store get you down - do some digging.  You'll find a bunch of places on the www that sell boosters.  Try Rock Auto.

Well, the one at Napa I have dealt with quite a bit over the years and he asked me to bring the booster in and compare it with the picture's. Or, he would even let me borrow the book they have and compare at home. Problem with that is, I know the mid 70's A body's look the same but the bolt pattern that go's threw the firewall is different. It just kind of alarmed me that something like this doesn't seem to be readily available. In both case's the guy's at the part store's had to dig a little deeper, so i hung up the phone and they both called me back latter. I'll go ahead and try rock auto.

Well I got one through Les Scwab's. I paid to much, but that's what I get for beng impatient. It is working, now I have a leak where the 73 Charger brake hose hooks to the 75 Dart disc brake calipar on the driver side. :flame: Gotta replace the copper washers. It just never ends......
