ok.Not sure if you could get a go wind on a charger. But I know you can on the other b bodies so here goes. Which parts are the same and which parts are different from the 70 mopar coronet, roadrunner go wing and the 70 ford mustang go wing?? I know the plates under the deck lid are mopar. But what about the wing itself? The pedestals? Are the part numbers on them? thanks r

6bblgt

1970 Ford Mustang & Chrysler Corp's 1970 A/B/E-body spoiler is the same dimensionally (36" between feet) and was made by the same manufacturer.

the "WING" is the same,
the only difference in the pedestals is the cast in part number and pentastar VS. FoMoCo oval,
the '70 Charger under decklid brackets are '70 Charger ONLY,
studs & fasteners are Chrysler specific

Hi. Wow. So just the numbers are different. Thanks cool. But I looked on that site and it said I beleave the 70 dodge vs. Plymouth, vs charger are all different? Whats different? thanks r

6bblgt

FPAP's spoiler package is different for each car line because it includes the under decklid brackets

BLK 68 R/T

Also the early production deck lids do not have the provisions punched in on the underside bracing for mounting a spoiler.

VegasCharger

Go wings look hideous on 2nd gen Chargers.

Thank god this concept wasn't available in 1968 although you'll see some with them bolted on.

:eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

6BBLGT   OOhhh ok thank you. NOW I understand why each one is different. ok cool. Ive learned a lot in 2 days with everyones help.  So does anyone know where I can just buy the pedistalls? So I can switch out the ford ones for mopar? thanks ron

6bblgt

Are you sure it's a '70 Mustang spoiler that you have?  '69 Mustang is different, '69 Cougar is different again, '69 Cyclone is different again ..... etc.

DoubleDlover

well. I beleave its marked 71 mustang. I can measure the total length and or the space between the pedistalls. r

Kern Dog

Don't do it. These wings look like a crappy "tack-on" accessory like you'd find at Pep Boys or a flea market.

6bblgt

between pedestals:
'70 Mustang 36" (& '70-'71 Mopars  :icon_smile_big:)
'69 Cougar 33"
'71-'73 Mustang 31"

DoubleDlover

dam it.... between pedistalls is 33... And total length is 58...  This thing is worthless for my 70..... dammm

6bblgt

got pics and/or part numbers off the pedestals (are they adjustable?) - what condition is it in? '69 wings are usually split  :icon_smile_blackeye:

it's probably worth more than the reproduction on you WANT - once you ID it

DoubleDlover

I don't have pics at the moment. I didn't see any splitting. The pedistalls are adjustable. I can get the numbers of them. I do have a set of plates for under the trunk it came with. They might be cuda style. Im wondering if this wing would be the same for E body... HHmmm.. I'll have to see if I can find out the pedistall distance.

not keen on them either  ,  kind of look better on a 70 ! think its  psychological thing !  because I know they could have been an option / ordered on a 70 .... :scratchchin:

would be a nice factory option to have on a 70 , but  I would  take it off  though , along with the door scoops  :yesnod: no offence 70 guys  , we all know the 70 charger had the best options   ;D ;) :coolgleamA: :2thumbs:  etc

the MOPAR wings are all 36" & there are only 2 different wings 1970 (& early 1971) style & 1971 style

I never liked the look of the 1970 R/T door scoops either. The door scallops are a great design feature. The scoops hide them. This is like make-up on a naturally beautiful woman.

plenty of 70 owners would disagree with you on both counts , I  prefer the 70's for the very reason you don't  :nana:

I'd agree with you also, the 70 R/T is the pinnacle of 2nd gen Chargers, has everything the 68-9's don't have and need, 6pks, pistol grips, best looking interior/seats, body style, best looking grille, decals/stripes/scoops/spoilers/etc,etc

alfaitalia

A fair view point but "best looking" is strictly in the eye of the beholder. Personally I think the chrome grill/nose on the 70 is hideous and the reason I'm not even looking at 70s in my current search for a project. To my eye 69 was the pinnacle but I would have a 68. That said there are some amazing 70s on this site so each to his own.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that has that thing.  Like a High Impact color on a '68 anything, look strange to me.  I'm too much of a purist I guess.  :Twocents:
Mopar forever!

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

DoubleDlover

so does anyone here know if the wind I have with a distance of 33 in on the pedistalls is for a cuda or only mustang couger? thanks r

6bblgt

'Cudas are all 36" (MOPARS are all 36")
