So my buddy who is staying with me is a corvette guy and thinks chargers are just big heavy boat anchors that weigh over 4,000lbs. No matter how much proof I show him he just thinks he's right. He builds circle track cars which have extremely overkill roll cages for wall impacts, so hes trying to compare...I race them too. Long story short...he says my "Daisy" charger is going to be over 4000lbs. I told him not even close and I'll lay $100 on it that it won't. This is all the weight reduction and add ons I've done. Ignorance costs people money...lol, I've got race car scales so I'm going to rub his face in his wrongness lol. "Vegascharger" was here to witness all this

-440 with aluminum intake and aluminum heads
-aluminum timing cover and water pump
-Aluminum radiator
-Deleted entire a/c system
-Headers
-Deleted entire stock brake pedal assembly, booster and master cylinder for a wilwood under dash brake pedal assembly and masters that weighs only 10lbs total with brackets.
-wilwood front and rear disc brake setup with aluminum front hubs
-deleted the leaf springs for a light weight 5 link setup
-aluminum coil over shocks front and rear
-deleted torsion bars
-light weight seats
-lighter torque converter.
-fiberglass hood
-billet specialty light weight wheels

Now what I've done to add weight...
90lbs on the roll cage
2lbs in reinforcement plating for k frame and control arms.

Plus once it hits the road I'll add fiberglass bumpers, brackets, trunk lid and fenders

Ohh...forgot it's missing a lower rear quarter panel from rust, that's gotta be worth at least 3lbs lol

The big block chargers barely hit 4000 lbs from the factory, so you should have no problem with your $100!

You hit your 666 comment!  :coolgleamA:

"Shout at the devil" song popped in my head lol

You won't even be close to 4000. An aftermarket front K member/no torsion bars is supposed to save about 125# right there. Then aluminum intake/heads...then getting rid of heavy stock brakes...easy money!!

See how much money he will bet against your car being under 3500.  You could make a pile off him.

For reference, the General Mayhem was about 3600 with the motorhome 440.  Steel body.  No cage.  No aluminum on the motor.  Stock-style chassis.  2 front seats.  Glass windshield.
