Would you say this is a factory black car or not?

View the pics and give opinion because I'm undecided. Thanks.

I don't think so. The black paint isn't bonded to that red primer like it would if it was factory applied.

:Twocents: based on those pics - BLACK car
it looks like the red is on top of the black on the trunk floor, first rustoleum coverage when the trunk floor stated to rust  :scratchchin:

the black filler tube is the only item that points to repaint

I just couldn't tell if the trunk floor was burnt orange or red primer or whatever before the resto as I've never seen the car in person. These are pics of the 70 V code Charger that is 110k on ebay right now. If it's a black car then so be it. I did inquire about this car maybe 3 years ago and at the time there was no engine or trans. Now it's a numbers matching original.

looks  like a original black car  ,

although  at first look ,  just the trunk floor ,  can see what your saying about  the red/burnt orange stuff !being under the black , closer I looked , its on top of the black , i think !! although sort of looks like underneath too on my screen :scratchchin:   , its a original black car though  :yesnod:

lol busted...you saw the car 3 years ago and it had no drivetrain...it just miraculously appeared for this guy to restore it original then

Yeah that's the one. Not the current seller, but the one I talked to before, wouldn't discuss or show any more hidden areas like door jambs so I always wondered what the deal was since I didnt get to see the car before it sold. The rocker area seems like it's a black car. The trunk floor seems more burnt orange but who knows. Yes it definately had no engine or transmission before so I'd love to hear the reuniting story on that one....
Wasn't Dave Wise mentioned on the sublime 6 pack with AC car a few years ago or am I thinking of someone else?

Yes he was and he vouched for the authenticity of that one of none car also.  :eek2:   Now we have a car that was previously missing its numbers matching motor and trans but now it magically has them. I'm not seeing any photos of the motor or transmission VIN numbers. Why not on a car of this caliber?   ::)

Yes the car had a fender tag when I inquired about it. I'll post a pic of it tonight when I get home.

Just looking at the bracket on top of the inner wheel well, and the trunk torsion bar bracket and bars themselves - looks like a factory black car to me. Scott.
