Tuesday at Red Rocks w/Mike Musto's Dayclona.

Today at Extreme Automotive....you missed a good one 303 Mopar! That darn-nice 1931 Model A next to me was for sale at $12K.

You have anymore pics of that A model? My grandpa and I are about to start the restoration on his 31 A model coupe. It's been sitting in his barn since 1955.

1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

I haven't heard anything about the Mopar Event at Bandimere for a while, so maybe not?  That Red Rocks venue is highly controlled anymore by the City & County of Denver (got tired of peeling stoners off of the rocks after they would fall at a concert). Don't have any additional  shots of the Model A, but I'd guess that restoring one will take more than $12K. These cars are a classic example of a softening asset. Even the very best versions are getting cheaper with each passing year as the folks who appreciate them head for the exits (Chargers will likely face that someday as well).

Also, my car got way-more attention this year at the little car show I attended (I believe it was the only Charger) but.... while it always seems to have some fans, I have never won anything with it. It is a driver and not a show car, so that's part of it, but I also think that there's more too it than that. Color seems to play a significant role when it comes to the awards at these little shows.  With very few exceptions, high-impact colors seem to dominate every time. There's a 1970 Panther Pink Challenger R/T 440 clone that comes regularly to this event, and.... it inevitably wins something every year. Absolutely nothing about the car is "real" in the sense that it started out as a brown 318, but it's a perennial favorite. The owners joke about the "little-girl vote", but I do think they're onto something.
