The first line of the description also has different spacing on the reproduction versus the original shown in this thread.

The two you are comparing are different Window Stickers.  We did not attempt to reproduce the original that someone pictured as a comparison.  When a Customer does not have an original to format from, we have no choice but to default to the kerning characteristics we have documented from a large selection of other original examples that we have researched.  Not every example is exactly the same.  Similar to VIN Decals, you can't use one original example to justify or explain the print features of another.  Even though they were all engineered to look the same, the process for manufacturing them causes print changes in the positioning, color density, etc........  There are even option codes that are exactly the same but use different wording to describe the option feature.

Since we didn't have an original to use as a format, we have no choice but to select one of the original versions we have in our database.  We do a series of "proofs" under the direction and approval of the Customer.  If they want specific codes, we use the information from other original Window Stickers to encrypt that data.  Our spacing and kerning is formatted exactly as it was documented from our original examples.  When we select one version or style it may not match the characteristics of someone else's original example.  If the person who posted their original example is looking for an exact match to their particular example, we can certainly provide it.

Rather than compare two different examples to prove a point, below is the original Window Sticker from one of my Cars and the reproduction that I made to represent it.  (I even "aged" it a bit to make it look more authentic.)  Also keep in mind that no one can ever make an "original" to replace an "original".  Our Window Stickers are printed by one of the same Manufacturers that made them for Chrysler (back in the day) so that's about as good as we can reproduce them.

I purchased a Scat Pack Challenger last year and my Chrysler Friend had another Window Sticker printed from the Factory for me to keep in my files.  It's not the "original" that came with the Car but it's as good and authentic looking as the original one.

So it appears that ECS has a font missing in their character set. Oops...  :popcrn: Close up of the ampersand characters.

Here are the new Window Stickers that we did for Lyndon.  I personally worked on these new versions today.  (I'm hoping Lyndon won't mind me posting this update.)  They have all the "correct" characteristics that were spelled out in some of the previous posts.  The 44 versus 45 line differential was due to an issue with our new program software and it was corrected.

One thing is worth mentioning here regarding the "correct" listing of the 8CYL versus the 8 CYL spacing difference.  We found 3 "correct" variations for the same year and same Model Car.  There were examples that exhibited a single space, no space or a "dash" that separated the characters.  It's impossible to know every nuance that came on a Window Sticker without having the original as a reference.  Minor things of this nature was simply the preferential typing styles of who ever was entering the information or did the initial setup.  There were no Engineering mandates or Federal protocol that dictated character spacing issues such as the one seen here.

NOTE:  If there are any other changes you want for us to make Lyndon, we will be happy to do so.  Adding the additional line made it a one page instead of a two page Window Sticker.  I made 3 copies of each variation (8CYL or 8 CYL) for a total of 6 copies, so you have each style to choose from.  Let me know what you think of this new format and we will get them shipped asap.  Thanks.

Good stuff ECS.  :coolgleamA:

Thanks!  Here are the 2 versions next to one another so everyone can see that there are no "Photoshop" shenanigans taking place.  We are able to turn the characters sideways, upside down or in any other configuration that is requested.   :2thumbs:  These are every bit as authentic/correct in appearance and touch as the originals used by Chrysler............guaranteed!  If you had an original sitting side by side, next to one of our "aged" reproductions, you could not tell the difference.

It's not a rude question at all.  I haven't worked out a firm price as of yet but I don't want them to be more than in the $60-$70 range.  I offered these a long while back but stopped making them because the process was too difficult and not too cost effective.  We have since purchased some of the finest "state of the art" printing equipment for other areas of our Business.  As an added benefit, we found that this new equipment can also work for manufacturing Window Stickers as well.

Since coming up with a new processes for making a more "authentic" Window Sticker, we are close to offering items for Chrysler as well as all other Brand X Cars.  Below is one of the products we are supplying for a Company named Kirban Performance.  Not only are we doing Chrysler/Dodge Window Stickers, we are reproducing Ford, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Buick and a few others.  The years range from 1969 to 1990 in some cases.  We have located all of the correct substrate materials to match the originals perfectly.  Below is one of our Buick examples for a 1987 Grand National.  (Sorry for the glare in the lower right corner of the picture.)

Those are just about as good as an original Window Sticker to use as a format.  Please feel free to post a picture of the one you have to show what it looks like.  :2thumbs:

A12 Superbee

I'd love one of these for my A12 but all I have is the fender tag. If I got one made I'm guessing the dealer would have to be plucked out of thin air, so I'd go for a little known one that won't draw too much attention, like Sox & Martin or Grand Spaulding Dodge. :smilielol:

Dave (ECS) I'm in Australia so calling you is not an option, I'll shoot you an e-mail and maybe we can discuss how best to populate a window sticker with the little information I have?

It looks a great product, maybe I should get you to do a broadcast sheet also? I'm asking this here because I want a permanent online record that the genuine items for my A12 no longer exist and don't want anyone to get swindled in the future if I ever sell the car.

Some of the imaging was a bit hard to see when I enlarged it from your photo.  Take a look at this and tell me if it matches your original Dealer copy.  Thanks!

You are lucky to get this.  I have both a fender tag and legible build sheet but, I have no idea where it was bought new. I am the third owner. Supposedly somewhere on the east coast.  The fellow I bought it from in 1976 had owned it since 1971 and no longer remembered who he bought it from.

I just do not want one made without knowing exactly which dealer was the selling dealer originally.

AND .... yes, the prices are amazing to people these days!
