Well, after working up a sweat, running out of patience and uttering a few
oaths, I had to walk away and think this out.

I put a dab of grease into the holes to ease the clips in,
but my problem is getting them all to align before I snap them in.

Can't see behind the pad to align more than a couple at a time before
I lose sight and feel for the rest.

I was thinking I could measure the distances between the holes and
duplicate that on the rear of the pad, then cement/epoxy the clips to
those measurements.

How in the world did the factory worker do that in the limited amount
of time allotted????

Anyone care to share their experience?

Thanks, Joe

Yes.  Been there.  I use dish soap instead of grease, as you want them to stay in once snapped in and dish soap will dry up quickly.  I lay a trouble light on the ground directly below and then lay down and look up while lining them up.  I start with front (or rear) and once indexed in (not snapping) work backward.  Once all are indexed in go ahead and snap front and work back.  Sometimes you have to make a couple of attempts (at least I did) but you should be successful without to much trouble.  Be patient when lining.  You can see then index in.  Just make sure they stay there.

If the clips are popping out of the inside pad while you snap them you may have to crimp the clip opening shut a bit.

Good luck.
