Steering Column Help

I need help I'm stuck I changed my column collar over to a floor shift one on my 68 Charger. I put it all back together and it just keeps pulling right out of the gearbox. I followed the diagrams..and it keeps pulling out. What holds in place?

I must be missing a part or I put it back together wrong check out the pics and tell me if I missing anything (seems like maybe a retainer or something....

this may be my fix, thank you so much

Be certain the shear pins that allow the column to collapse didn't get damaged, allowing the shaft to go back into the column and fall out of the coupler. 69 and newer used a retainer pin to lock the coupler together, 68 back did not.
