Hi guys
I will try to cover all the details. Last night the charger would not start and today it starts fine. Last night the starter would crank like a champ. I pulled the coil wire and there was no spark. I changed to my back up and had the same results. With the key in the on position I had about 12 volts on the positive side of the coil. I also tried cleaning the bulkhead connectors, swapping the ballast resistor and running a jumper from the battery to the positive on the coil. No luck. Today I went and turned the key and it fired up 5 times flawlessly. What could cause this? Could it be my mopar orange ecu box? What about the other box on the firewall that kind of resembles the ecu(sorry I don't know what it is called or does)?

Thanks in advance!

Was the engine hot last night when trying to start?  The coil may have failed due to heat and functioned fine when cold........
13.53 @ 105.32

That other box is your voltage regulator- make sure your ECU has good ground to the firewall-

Good Info. The engine was cold. It had been parked for a week.

Thank you.  I will check the ground.

It's not a ground exactly but the firewall is the ground for the ECU case.
I've always ran a wire to one mounting bolt of the ECU for a good ground.

Ok. I will see about doing this.
