Just more proof that there's just never enough money for Clinton.      ;)

Sublime/Sixpack

The ad says 26000 flawless miles. What the he11 is the definition of a flawless mile?  ::)
Some people selling cars crack me up!

Impressive that it retailed for $18,300 in 1985.  That was a ton of money back then.

I just looked it up, and that's slightly over double the 1985 average new car price of $9000.

The average price figure today is just over $33k.  $33k x 2 = $66,000.

I bought a 84 Daytona 2.2 Turbo new and it was a nice daily driver for back then but I would't want another one today. The problem I see with a 31 year old car like that is what do you do when some of those no-longer-available parts need to be replaced?

BrianShaughnessy

I'll give him $1490.   Tops.

I gave up on old 2.2 fwd cars years ago.    Fun to drive as long as they're not blowing head gaskets,  having electrical gremlins or having pieces of rotting trunk floors fall out...
Parts are getting impossible.

I still find it hard to believe that people think these POS's are worth money.  They're basically that era's Sebring convertible...  Maybe I'm just out of touch with the car crowd these days?  :shruggy:

He's asking a lot.  That doesn't prove he really expects to get it.
