Odd 68 charger I bought today?? Blue car, green interior???

I bought a 68 charger down by Detroit today. It's been sitting in this shed since 1991.  I was able to acquire it thru a friend today and when I got it home I decoded the fender tag. It said qq1 bright blue and then had the code for a green interior!!!!  The green interior was so dirty I automatically thought it was black but just dirty but in fact it's green.  Factory 383 2 bbl car with air conditioning and a aftermarket blue vinyl top! 

My question is.....has anyone ever seen this color combo before?  Did a dealer order this or more likely a person custom ordered it with those colors.

Maybe the original owner was color blind. My dad had some strange color combinations with things.

I have never seen that combo, but I once owned a 68 Charger that was factory green with red interior! I called it the "Christmas Charger"  

The dealers were advised on how to order the cars for the lot..like what options were best suited for certain price ranges, what color combos to avoid..We see "against the grain" choices occasionally that tell us someone must have wanted a certain combination bad enough to special order a car to get what they wanted.

Didnt take a picture of the fender tag but power washed every sqaure in of this car...im very happy the car.....its unbelievable how nice the frame rails and floors are...but if all things it has a rust hole in the roof above the mirror???

It probably had a small tear in the vinyl top right there, that kept collecting water & dirt. Then it festered.

The database for this website for pictures is something like one directory so files need a unique name across all photos ever uploaded.  So, 'charger1.jpg' probably won't work, but mash the keyboard and 'asdf09afa0s9fd.jpg' probably will.

Resize to under 200kb with Paint or another program.

My car was a 383 4bbl car that had green exterior and blue interior. So we have same ugly combo just polar opposites...

No stranger than my one 69 S.E. 383 mag. 4-spd. I got 3 years ago, A4, green top green int. But all original one owner car, won't see another one like it anywhere. Embrace the strange ones. .
