Remember that company that was offering Made in USA full quarters the exact same time the AMD's came out? Being Made in USA was the only marketable difference they had. They were more than double AMD's price..the market spoke..price comes first, origin is of least importance.

Anyone remember who and how long ago that was?

Pretty sure it was classic body design. They were out around 2008 when i bought my 70. Was the only reason i bought my car knowing there was full repop metal. That being said i bought AMD basically the 1st run of all their stuff. All i can say is i hope the stamps have been tweaked as we had to remake the marker light hole on the 70 full quarters. 35 hours bodywork to straighten the passengers side. I pretty much re skinned the whole car with AMD.

The pieces that fit well were the full floor and footwells, outter rocker, trunk floor, roof skin was ok

the
full quarters
trunk drop offs
tail panel
door skin
dutchmen panel
rear valance corners

All needed a ton of metal work before body work. To give you an idea the scallops on the door skin extended past the factory r/t door scoops. Brought this to their attention and they said oops. Dutchmen panel had to be spliced to make the gap between the quarter correct, cut and re welded the corners for the rear window trim pieces to fit.

All this said atleast its something to work with as without this jobber metal my car would never have been saved.

The 1 piece trunk floor fit like a glove.

Yes, I remeber Ron Lushia, Talked to him many times. It was hardcore racing that jumped the General lee & then gave the run around for months on the new quarters. Ron left Hardcore & took the quarters with him & started Classic body design. I got a sneak peek/view of his quarters just before they hit the market here at a local Mopar Show in Detroit Area. I posted pics of them back then. They looked very nice to me. To bad AMD put him out of Business. I quoted Charger fan because he said the quarters & other parts fit like Crap, I wish the guys in here that say there is nothing wrong with there parts (and all other aftermarket) & they all fit great would respond to your problems with fit. But I already know what they would say, if they did not fit then nothing wrong with the part, the problem is you or the body shop working on it, they just don't know what the hell they are doing. LEON.

Oh ya heard that one before too. We actually braced and welded the car to a stand before anything was cut off. Didn't seem to matter lol.

72Charger72, Nacho used Upper case letter for the "I" in his "ISO", Apple or Mac uses lower case letter for the "i" in there "iSO".
I think I'll keep my scratched and dented original Mopar sheet metal a little time longer yet.

Nacho said IOS not ISO so i thought he was joking about Apple being made in China!  :2thumbs:

Right...
Meaning also not just garbage is made in China... is just about get the right controls

But being you guys up there are quite often so closed mind about stuff being made in China ( or whatever country in the world ), that Apple products states on back DESIGNED IN CALIFORNIA ASSEMBLIED IN CHINA... Which is the same than MADE IN CHINA. Just to sway the MADE IN CHINA fact, and be accepted in USA by the crowd

Althought is true China produces garbage at low cost ( cheap repros mostly ), is true also you can get good stuff being made outside USA, just need to get the correct quality controls, no matter where in the world is made.

Dozens of USA brands make their products in China, but is the brand fault to keep the quality ( if actually cares about )

There are also lots of US brands that push the envelope in terms of the actual origin their products are made. They will take items made overseas and have a minimal amount of US labor do just enough to have it branded "Made in USA". The rules in which items can be labeled "Made in USA" is constantly changing to stay current with the crazy things companies do to put "Made in USA" on foreign made products.

True.

If you build a whole vehicle body in Mexico, and a whole drivetrain in Canada, does it get to wear a "made in USA" label as long as you mate them together here?

That's true. The new when I'm seeing a lot of it is "made in America with foreign materials".  But I honestly think that the products that are actually still made in America are better quality they always fit and they work right. if you do have a problem getting exchange is usually no problem. The gAskets and  wiring harnessess I paid double for looked perfect and worked  easy as could be. All the trim pieces that were made in China that I unfortunately had to buy weren't even close to fitting right
