Several years back there was a mishap with my wife Mary's bass on the way to a gig. (She plays in a bluegrass band) Someone driving a golf cart was taking her & the bass to the stage when they decided to squeeze through a narrow gate opening. The neck was snapped clean off & there was a huge hole in the side of it. She used a borrowed bass for the gig & then had her old 1950's Kay tuned up & used that for the last couple of years. She finally got someone she trusted to repair it & just brought it home today. It came out great. Her friend, RJ Storm in Beacon, NY did the repair & you'd almost never know how bad the bass was before he repaired it.

These two pics are the before, an early 1970's, Czechoslovakian made, double bass.....

Here it is after her friend RJ repaired it. The side view shows where that huge hole was. You can see where the work was done, but it looks more like just the finish was touched up than a hole repair.  :2thumbs:

:2thumbs:  I'm sure your wife is riding high about this.

If she wonders about how you might feel about your cars? --You have something to share about that.--

HANDM

I have a custom shop SG that had the neck and headstock snapped off that my son was wanting me to repair.
Some wood glue, bondo, white/ black paint, a storm trooper sticker and "viola" it's now the ST (storm trooper rather than solid guitar  :D)
It's his absolute favorite guitar and he plays it exclusively now and I couldn't be more proud!
