1979 dodge Magnum GT 360 with a factory sunroof $800.00 obo needs lots of work.

GreenMachine

I just bought one late last year for $400. It was a 1979 Magnum GT 360 factory 2 barrel with T tops, later converted to 4 barrel. It had been sitting for 10 years and didn't run. I think I got a real good deal. The factory 4 barrels are a bit more rare (you couldn't get a big block in 1979). The windshield wiper system is junk and should be swapped out for earlier set-up, I spent a couple hundred getting mine back to working condition. The lean burn system needs to be swapped as well. Good luck finding a fuel tank/sender for it too. There is a small following for the Magnum, but they aren't willing to pay high prices for one. They drive and handle good. I think for $800 needing work is about right, not a screaming deal. Here's a descent one that got bid up to 4K on Ebay (No sunroof or T tops):

Here's a pic of mine on the way home...
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

This one is on  Pittsburgh craigslist under Mopar

I would consider that a parts car. If bought as a project car, you'd be in it way more than it's worth.

I'd make a stock car out of it.

If it was the ONLY one it would indeed be rare.  But being rare is not the only thing needed for value.

Would be a good topic... "Rare...yet worthless."
