:2thumbs: sounds fun, but i wouldn't drive her hard at first, most of the cars in the race die about at the 11 hour mark. so after the 16 hour mark drive her like you stole her. and most importent of all don't get laped  :woohoo: :insertsarcasm: :insertsarcasm:

Good luck.

Quote1.4: Claiming Race: At the end of the competition, the Organizers--and nobody else, you lazy, better-car-wantin' bastids--may elect to purchase any vehicle from its owner(s) for $500. In 80 races and counting, we've claimed cars precisely twice. Don't piss us off so much that we raise that to three.

The rally is for cars in a "general state of hopelessness".  How do you qualify? - you got a one fine looking Charger.  :shruggy:

Find a beat up Dart with a slant 6, don't risk damage to the Charger !

The owner emailed me and im, 'qualified'.....Im gonna ask him if we need to over rocks, but if its just all DESERT running Im cool with that no issues with a different rim/tire setup.

I've seen youtube videos...You really should REconsider using a cheap, replaceable car!

Some of you guys have the Road Rally confused with the normal Lemons endurance race ran on road courses.

The competitive racing done on road courses with 500 dollar beaters is an entirely different event from what OP entered.

OP has entered a "Gumball Rally" style event, ran on public roads, at legal highway speeds. It's basically a cruise from a start point to a final end point, with checkpoints along the way. There's no more risk to the car than you'd have on any other normal day.

Both events look like a blast, I'd love to do either. Have fun and post lots of pics man.

Also, the guys from Roadkill are said to be going. I don't know what theyre driving, but it will probably wind up on a future episode.

I didn't realize they were doing these kind of events  :shruggy: Thanks.

I knew it wasn't the one of the road course races because your car would never have been approved because is has a value over $500.
