Tax time sucks every year.  Things change just enough from year to year that I never know what to expect until we are well into the process (this is made much worse, of course, by having a small business). Accordingly, I stop all ancillary activities and hang-on grimly until everything is done and the checks have been sent in to both the Feds and the State.  I'm still going to have to wait and make sure everything clears and the dust settles, but now at least I can look forward to getting a few projects done on the car.  It now appears that I have cracked at least one leaf in the springpack on the passenger side (don't do burnouts in reverse on a 50-year old car! not even mild "chirps"...) and maybe even a spring eye on the right front hanger.  The racket it makes when I go over even a small bump makes it sound like the Dana is going to come out from underneath it, so driving it has been severely curtailed since late last Fall. Since I'll have to drop it with a competent resto shop anyway, I'm going to have them go through the rest of the suspension (shocks & bushings, if needed) and I'm considering have the shifter re-bushed at that time too (it's getting pretty sloppy & these guys are good, good, good with the old stuff. It doesn't hurt that they're old Mopar guys too). Anybody here have a sense of what a shifter re-bushing will entail (it's a Hurst, not an Inland unit)?
