I'm about to weld new center console brackets on the new floor pan and I think I got the brackets exactly where they should be based on measurements I have and the markings on old floor. The brackets on my cars original floor had been removed before I got it.

I've got the console (also a new piece) mounted on the brackets, and the center of the console is slightly more towards the driver in relation to the transmission tunnel. Is this how it should be? I just want to make sure before I weld in place.

Here's a few measurements I took on my '70 a few years ago, I hope these help. I don't know about the left of center issue, although the brackets do look mounted toward the left.
These were all measured from the front of tape sitting at the weld seam at the firewall.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
