Just making sure I bought the right stuff.  One of the auto store chains here had the valvoline VR1 synthetic racing oil 20-50 labled as high zinc content clearanced to $2.25 qt.  I.bought all they had left.  That is the right stuff for the flat tappet motors isn't it?

Correct.  That is what I bought last year.   Good price!

Thanks.  This was it.  Reg about $10 qt.  Gonna check the other stores in morning.  Can't even get the cheap crap.for that price

Advance Auto parts is discontinuing them.  At least around here.  $2.25 a qt

Screaming deal.  I just checked on line on the nearest stores by me and most of them don't have it any longer.  Conventional is $6.39, Full synthetic is $9.19.

Get them to.double check.  A couple stores round here were saying the full price too because they hadn't read the whatever sheets calling for the markdown. They ended up selling it to me at the 2.25.   I picked up 26qts to last a few changes
