Hi guys, fairly new to Mopars. I have a 73 Charger that I just rebuilt a 440 for. It's got an overdrive A833 and a Lakewood bellhousing. Am I nuts or is it really difficult to install the clutch fork onto the bearing and bracket? I'm going crazy because it doesn't seem like the fork can reach back to the springs on the release bearing sleeve with the pivot bracket there, and it can't slide onto the bracket, because the bearing sleeve is in the way! What's the deal!?

if it helps, the pivot bracket is just over 1-1/2" and the clutch fork is 12-1/2". I have a longer clutch fork too, but it has a different style clip for the pivot bracket (off a 360 I think)

whew, just got it! Ended up having to trim about 1/16" off the pivot bracket to make it happen. operates pretty darn smooth now
