i know this is a LLLLOOONNNGGGG shot but i figured i'd try. in 71 my dad bought his 1967 charger and brought it to where he lived (near chanute ks). It was originally blue with  black vinyl top. It had a 383 and an automatic. Here are some weird things about this car 1. There was a blue flashing light behind the grill when he got it...not like any that were available to civilians back then and it was the same blue as a cop light would be (my dad heard rumors that it used to be an undercover cop car, but never could verify it) 2. somebody had installed a "push-button" shifter like in the old custom royals, cornets, ect but it wasnt' hooked up when my dad got the car...3 it had a vinyl top which from what i understand is a pretty rare option for 67. After my dad had the car for about a year he had it painted plum crazy purple but left the vinyl top on. Later that year he had a 4 speed installed. When my dad went into the airforce he sold the car to one of his best friends (Randy Beggs) for $1200 to pay off what he owed on the car. Randy later sold the car to an unknown person who sold it to a Mike Clause of Fredonia (i've looked this up and the only Mike Clause i've found near fredonia never owned a 67 charger or even knew Randy Beggs, so thats the wrong guy) I am currently trying to get pictures of the car from my dad as i think he has one that show's his license plate number, i'm hoping that will give me some info to give to the DMV so they can help me out, but for know this is all i know. any help is greatly appriciated like i say i know it's a long shot but i figured i'd give you guys a shot at it...

later  :icon_smile_cool:
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....
