So on his show he said he would prove that there was a Nascar Dodge program in '66.  He obviously found nothing.

Well he found Galen.  :o

Fine car anyway.

That show is a joke. I've watched one episode and they were having a pumpkin carving contest that took up almost half the show. :slap:

And it seems odd to me that a Miami Florida charity owned it as part of a chain of owners - the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis.  I guess in Florida that charities deal in classic cars.  Any one know about the charity connection?

seem to recall reading about this car in a magazine a long time ago , ( before internet) think it said the owner or previous owner fitted the freash air ducting from the cowl to air cleaner & fitted a rear spoiler  :scratchchin: , ( don't quote me on this could be getting mixed up with another car , or totally confused  )  IMO while it would be a rare charger option , I very much doubt this is the case for this charger , I think who ever done this  , read up on or had seen the 64  plymouth track option A864  Belvedere  , I believe there was two options  one for drag racing & the other for  stock car !  these cars never come with a heater & lots of other mods , stripped down etc  & cowl inlet air cleaner was one of them ,  hope i'm wrong & this car is whats its says it is ,  , but I very very much doubt it !   cant  Chrysler historical help , I believe the 67 & earlier records still exist  &it was the 68 & later that was lost  :shruggy:

The story about having NASCAR parts is ridiculous.     Galen's report calls them correctly as "NASCAR type" and that they are "incorrect".

moparchris

That Charger had those White slotted mags on it since the mid/late 80's.  I saw this car at the Mopar Nat'ls in 1984.  So now Mr. Flipper takes them off and puts chrome Magnums on it because, why exactly??????
What a dork. IMHO of course....

The chrome magnums were put on to justify the price increase from $55k to $89.9K :)

That's why I love being on here.  You guys can always simply explain everything to me :pity:

Red line tires and magnum 500s weren't available on a March 18 built car.  For that kind of money he should have blue streaks and dump the NAPA battery.  Keth Arteman had a red 66 hemi car built the same day.  My 3 speed car was built the same day.  Nice looking car though.  I'll be impressed if he gets his money.

In case you missed it, car is relisted again on eBay for same price, $89,900.  Nice car but price is a reach for sure.  $55K at Barrett Jackson auction seems at most 10% light if it is even light at all.
