                  last 6 months over here I've noticed finance company's ( especially car finance)  have a "new" saying/slogan 

                                         " we don't care about your past we're here for your future "       

                                                  seems we have been down this path before

The bad loans had existed for years before they did much damage.  

Then the financial industry discovered they could swing them around like a baseball bat, whacking everything in sight like a bunch of pinatas, collecting free money falling out.  


So we bailed out the financial industry's remaining debts, didn't pass regulations to stop them the next time, and blamed the creation of the bad loans for the whole problem.
