STOLEN 1970 Charger R/T

Hello all-

You guys may remember this 1970 Charger R/T popping up in discussion a few times in the past. Well, unfortunately it's been stolen according to Seattle Police. It was reported stolen back in April 2015 but it's worth a shot to look still. No word has been shared if it was found.

can't be 100% sure but it reminds me of a 70 charger that I looked at     was on ebay mid year last year , cant find anything I kept but

I did some searching just now and found out where this car was.

I was just trawling through the Seattle PD reports to see if I could find the VIN. They are comically brief for privacy, pretty much just date and officer taking report.  No real info, not even make/model/year of car!

I stopped off at this place today with the intent of making contact with the owner.  Right off the house seemed abandoned along with the neighboring house uphill.  They look ready for teardown and redevelopment, but if the owner was willing to keep that Charger parked there for years I wouldn't necessarily bet on it. I knocked on the door but, unsurprisingly, no answer.  The door is screwed shut. I did leave a note with my email and an invitation to post here, we'll see.

As I was about to pull away I saw the downhill neighbor and chatted with her for a minute. She thought 'they' (either the property owners or the city) had finally hauled off the Charger. She said no one lives in either house but the same people owned both houses and she thought they lived somewhere else in the neighborhood.

So, to reiterate, if you are the owner of the Charger in question we would like to help by keeping our eyes open for your car. We look at ads and cars all the time and have members worldwide. Posting the VIN and police case number would help us help you.

I wonder if there is a city tow yard in the area that it might be sitting at....

The first time I saw that car sitting there was about 20 years ago.  It had been there for years already. Its pretty obvious that the current owner was never going to do anything with it, but it still sucks that it was stolen.

If I recall, the mention of the online location information coincides pretty close with the time it was stolen. Don't leave your cars in sight unprotected!

Why do I get the feeling that the city would not have towed off an '85 Cavalier?

Did some digging. The car was indeed stolen. However it has been recovered now so all is good. I'm not sure what shape it's in though.
