Uh.....looks nice?  I won't pass judgement on a car unless I can see it up close; the camera can lie sometimes...

lukedukem

Would give this 70 charger R/T a miss , imo  , at a quick look at the pictures ! it don't look bad  , but more you look ! ! more you see stuff , that looks iffy &  or corners have been cut , the more you think !  what else has not been done correctly ,   under the shiny paint etc ....  for 50k imo  the car should be perfect & then some  :Twocents:

They painted over crud on the frame rails and the gas tank is frickin hammered yet they put that chrome cover on the differential.     Sorry but I agree definitely with corners being cut on that restoration.   I'd pass because you're always going to wonder what's under that shiny paint.    :rotz:
Could be swiss cheese.   Looks like something a used car lot would do by shooting black paint over grease, rust or dirt on the undercarriage.   Even the bk auto cars looked better underneath.

It's a perfumed pig.  Keep looking.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Sublime/Sixpack

Definitely not a job well done! :rotz:

It kills me how some guys put the fuel filter right next to the distributor! All it would take would be a tiny fuel leak to turn the engine bay into a fireball. :rotz:
Put the filter down by the fuel pump! Sure, you can't see it as easily, but at least the fire risk is greatly reduced.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

My thoughts exactly, a buyer can lay that kind of asking money into a better Charger

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, lots of little stuff wrong with it, I hate body color brake booster plates, caster camber access plates, Latches, ect, ect, ect. LEON.

Thanks everyone. I will keep looking!

The top of the shock absorber and the plastic clamps that hold the positive battery cable are painted red too.

1974dodgecharger

here let me spray the whole engine bay with some shining stuff and add 10k to the final price....I mean I did spend 2.99 on this shiny engine bay stuff right  :icon_smile_big:

dual fours

Looks like they painted over everything rubber that was under the hood, (rear hood seal and hood bumper on the fender sides).  I bet the hood turn signals (L31) do not work. Looks to be a Nov. 69 build date (B18 is my best guess), yep a lot of little stuff is questionable. Came factory with a low car height and 14" Magnum 500 Wheels. I can not make out any numbers on the radiator, I don't think the radiator cap is tight, I wonder if the engine has any fluids in it?  Hum... the sequential number is 159904, could have approx. 16,410 vehicles came off the St. Louis line in 33 days, my build date is Oct.15, 69 (A15)?
Anybody have a number how many cars came off the St. Louis line every minute/day :scratchchin:
Ha Ha Ha, look at the door locks knobs on the door top edges, 1970 or 1969 on the driver side and 1968 on the passenger side.
I do like the car, Hemi Orange, nice seats and sharp Rallye wheels, although I'm a little short of $.

Probably two different doors.     a 68 door on one side and a 69-70 door on the other.   Good eye on that one

It amazes me how so many people put the "charger" emblem in the wrong spot on the C pillars.  :brickwall:
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.
