Has anyone that owns a newer Chrysler product having trouble with the TIPM? I think the fuel pump relay is intermittent on 2011 T&C. Apparently this is a big problem with Chrysler. Anyone ever try changing it?

Yes, I have had trouble with mine in my 2007 Ram 1500. The brake lights, turn signals and brake lights stopped working. A NEW one was going to be over $1000 installed. Lucky for me, the dealer was able to reset or reflash mine for about $200.

It went out on my 2010 Challenger R/T about 1.5 years ago. Was about to leave work, started the car...ran for 5 seconds and shut down. Started it again, same thing. After the third time, it essentially bricked and, except for the head/tail lights, the car was completely dead. Had to get it towed to the dealer, where 2 days and $750 later, they figured out it was the TIPM and fixed it.

Its a common/well known problem w recent chrysler products. In fact, i believe there was/is a class action lawsuit over it. It only covers certain models and years...for some reason my car isnt included. Your T&C may be though..id check.

I hope they get sued into the ground for that shit.

That is precisely the kind of electronics lesson that the whole industry needs to learn.  And they will only learn it the hard way.  The public can either sue the OEMs before the bodies pile up, or after.
