Very Nice numbers matching 67 Hemi Charger for sale on eBay.  Car only has about 38,000 original miles and was recently restored by RK Motors (with so little miles restoration was a nice luxury though not sure how good the car was beforehand).  Nice car for sure.

Other than the master cylinder not being correct, I don't see much fault with the car....other than 20 coats of paint on the fender tag

GOTWING

a lot going for it !  :drool5:

great color combo
hemi
power windows
rims and tires set off the green paint.

would look good next to our green 66 hemi Coronet 500 !

Are the headrests on the front seats stock?  I do not ever recall seeing those on a 66-67

Ghoste

They were an option in 67 (maybe 66 as well?) but very rare.  You could order the pair or one for either side.

RK restored; that must have cost a mint.

Absolutely.  Car was in decent shape when they got it as well.  Suspect this is a pretty good car.  If only it were a 4 speed!

Ghoste

Very rare steering wheel in that thing.  I'd also be curious as to how the great guru determined the engine and trans are the originals just by looking at them.  (seeing as how there are no numbers on them to indicate such  ;) )

not option in 66, and you had to get both headrests in 67....they started the one headrest issue in 68

looking at the older pics, the steering wheel was not on the car originally

ITSA426

Nice steering wheel, I'd like to find another.

ahh you know how it is it sounds more impressive when they say matching numbers even if it didn't exist..I hear guys say it all the time, 'I have a numbers matching 1930s phanteom.....forgot what year they are, but cool as cars.

GOTWING

What's the story with the white dodge stripe at the bottom of the car? Dealer ad on?, owner ad it after purchase?

headrests, steering wheel ,side stripe.. :scratchchin:

Ghoste

The side stripe at the bottom was part of a Charger Birthday Package IIRC.

GOTWING

learned something new today, I have never seen that before. :icon_smile_cool:

Here is the response I got:

QuoteThe ad says the engine and transmission are ORIGINAL to the car...AND...the VIN, body codes, and fender tag are correct and numbers matching. Sorry if the sentence is misleading but I'd assume any moderately knowledgeable Mopar fan knows VIN codes were not on the engine and transmission in '66 an '67.

- obturate

So I asked again, how can you confirm the engine and trans are original to the car if they didn't have VIN numbers stamped to match them to the car?

Thats some thinly veiled sarcasm in theri response to you.  I think if I asked the question again I'd would have probably sent them something like "you are so right, which is of course why I asked because I would think any moderately intelligent salesperson would know the quickest way to turn moderately intelligent Mopar fans away is by making misleading statements like that".
But thats just me.   ;)

Here is his second reply:

QuoteGalen Govier has performed a visual inspection and determined the engine and transmission are original to the car. You may want to ask him this question.

GG is all you need.

Obviously  :brickwall:

Seriously he could stand up, claim Dodge made the Mustang, and people would believe it simply because he said it...

Same seller has a 66 Hemi Charger for sale on e-bay, Silver with Red interior and a complete survivor 68 383 automatic 68 Charger that his Father bought new (or so the ad says).
