Road trip, you will have tall tells to tell to your friends back home. Make sure you through in some banjo music also. Did you get the green one or the red one. If the red one you could have saved alot of time & shot up North in Ind. & I could have sold you one of mine. We don't do banjo music up here..

The body is good and bad, as I got closer to vermont and seeing some of the 10+year old cars on the road all rotted out, I started to worry more about the charger, then having to go thru the wooded hilly small towns to get to it made me even more leary. When I got to the car my expectations were not very high and it turned out to be better than even some of the cars I see on the roads still today that should of been condemned lol. It needs trunk, floor, rear 2ft of frame rails, lower rear valance, rocker work, quarter skins, wheel well touch ups and little patches around front and rear glass.

Looks like you didn't have any severe driving conditions as I don't see any white stuff on the ground.

Have a safe trip back home

EDIT: Hey Chris if you need a 70 grille there's this one near Lexington, KY

http://lexington.craigslist.org/pts/5320361408.html

You could route yourself thru there on the way back just saying.

So what's the ending of the story on the green 68 with 3 on the tree?

The green one is not 3 on the tree, it's console auto. He said hemmings bought the car and gave half down. The green one still needed a mild restoration. For the amount he said they paid for it, I just don't see it...yes it's rare but not desirable to majority.

Ah, I must have missed the auto part in the previous discussion.  :2thumbs: Par for the course these days.  :brickwall:

There is supposed to be a pretty cool yard down in that neck of VT but I haven't found it yet.  :scope:

Chris,

Thanks for stopping in SW Missouri and helping me clear out some room in my shop.  Have a safe trip back to Vegas!  If you know of anyone needing a Daytona deck lid modified by Mike Goyette send them my way.

I got to see what was left of a general lee, you can just barely make out the flag and general lee on the roof. It's stashed away in a poll barn.

Good find though, the green 68 looks fair on top.  How's the rear window channel?
