Quality antenna?

Last summer I was dusting the car off with my California duster, getting ready to go for a drive, when I bumped the aftermarket antenna. The sucker snapped off at the base and tipped over onto the top of the door. Fortunately it didn't scratch the paint when it fell but I was surprised how easily it broke. I barley tapped it.

Anyway, this is probably a question that has no answer but does anyone know of a good aftermarket antenna, one that won't snap off with the power of a big sneeze? I dug through all my receipts already trying to find out where I got it but no luck.

I got mine from Year one years ago but since my car is still a shell it's still in it's plastic jacket.

Thanks. I guess it's just a hit and miss thing.

Sort of. The antenna mast itself looks as if it was brazed onto a tapered base that has two flats on it and about an inch worth of 1/4-20 threads below that.
