So is this the end of the line for Peyton Manning

The Broncos are 6 - 0 but all on the backs of the 'D'.  The worst undefeated team in the NFL. If he were not Peyton Manning he would probably be benched by now, but that won't happen unless he gets a 'mysterious injury' that ends his season/career.  He deserves to go out with respect, but he needs to recognise that he can no longer play at the level he used to and not even think about coming back for his final year of his contract next year.  His long balls are increasingly falling short or becoming jump balls, and opposing teams can load up to stuff the run and ignore anything deep.  That frees up linebackers to stay close in and make big plays.  It's a shame because our 'D' is so good that with any kind of a consistant passing game we could be pretty special.  Maybe he can reach down and find the fountain of youth for three months, but next year Peyton Manning or not he needs to retire.  He is so afraid of hurting his neck that he self sacks himself if someone sneezes within 5 feet of him.
When someone is absolutely 100% sure they know exactly what your problem is and how to fix it, it's time to ask someone else!

Makes me more happy Elway went out the way he did.    :2thumbs:

No surprise here. Big  question is how they transition him out.

hope they don't treat him like the 49ers treated alex smith. Look how great they are now with kapernik.

Yeah It would be nice if he could go out on top like Elway!
