Billy the kid new picture surfaces, worth $5 million dollars

Crazy but true.  Picture was bought at a store in Fresno California for $2 with some other old pictures.

I agree.  He was a goofy looking farging bastage.   
In the full picture he is with some of the Lincoln county regulators.  It was taken in the summer of 1878 at a wedding in New Mexico.   The stones and some boards from that building are still there today.   Very interesting story.

I could actually see this being legit.  

New 'authentic Billy the Kid photos' have been turning up about twice a week in the last couple years.  Every old tin-type photo of a teenage boy people can find is getting slapped with that name now.  It's because some asshole paid a couple million dollars for the only confirmed one a couple years ago.    

But this one is nowhere near what people expect a BTK photo to be like.  And they say the exact location of this one has been found.  (The building can change but I doubt those background hills have changed much.)  This isn't just a random old portrait of a teenage boy from New York City or something.  

Okay, so maybe this pic is the Regulators in 1878.  But is the kid in the striped shirt really Billy?  That seems like one of the weaker parts of the case here IMO.

For my money, I think this one from 2011 is probably the real thing.  (This little Google'd comparison pic does not do it justice.)  A facial recognition expert declared it a 100% match to the known Billy pic, no doubt in his mind.

I thought the Billy the Kid photo had been authenticated already after some pretty exhaustive forensic work and several experts.

Latest mystery photo is one of Jesse James sitting next to Bob Ford that was brought forth by several descedants worth of family that lived next door to the James' way back when.
