This is tragic. Where are we gonna find another sour, old, redneck to vilify people who don't rebuild their own engine with a coat hanger and some WD40? Someone's gotta pick up the rebel flag and run with it.

People take breaks from this place all the time, it's just that no one notices it unless it's someone like Cooter...

I like Cooter and miss his style. His contributions (that I've seen) have been on point and (although provocative at times) what helps make this a place to return to.
He has a practical old school view of our cars that I can identify with. :2thumbs:
I for one am always interested in his input.

myk

I don't see his stance on old cars as being too traditional at all.  He approved of my choice of wheels, an 18" version of classic Torq Thrusts, and even provided support and input regarding my suspension upgrades over the stock stuff.  Actually, I would see his beliefs about old cars as being "conservatively progressive," as in he appreciates functionally modernized classic cars, just not to the level of those $100K+ show-only vehicles that look ridiculous even on paper.

The one thing I know he always got cranky about was daily driving classic Chargers; he did NOT approve of that practice... :scratchchin:

Cooter knew his shit. Hope he comes back.

Well, unless you're the guy featured in the thread or Playboy's Miss July 2012, then probably not.  Sorry dude...

This is old at this point but, yes TUFCAT (along with several others) were banned much earlier in this calendar year. I must say that the whole experience has left me very underwhelmed with this community in general and has greatly reduced my previous excitement for this place in particular. Which I suppose may or may not have been noticed.  :'(

What did tuffy do?    You've gotta mess up pretty bad here to get banned.
Hell, I'm still here for some reason.  I think I'm untouchable.   I have immunity or something I guess.   Then again, I am pretty cool and this site would crash without me.

We noticed good buddy, we noticed.  I just assumed you were buried in work again.

I never made it it to your neck of the woods by the way, we got two new kittens after our cats died so we didn't go on vacation.  Maybe next year.

I knew Tuftat was banned and I can guess why, but I expected him back by now.  Maybe he's had enough of this place as well.  I try to limit myself to helping others out here and learning more things about our cars.  I don't particularly like hanging out here too much anymore.

I have a limited perspective into what led up to the banning and as we know there are always 3 sides to the story. And to be completely fair, I don't think that it was necessarily unjustified as a step in the process. But the healing process was unsuccessful and sadly didn't live up my expectations (which didn't require him to be re instated though I had hopes).

Yep, that certainly had some bearing on the situation.

Thanks, I like to think I have something to offer in this oft confusing and sometimes very sad world.

Ah, the addition of new family has a way of changing one's plans.  You are always welcome over here.  Still scheming to get myself back out for another Dream Cruise.  :yesnod:
