Any tips on getting the idler arm removed from the K member? I can't get my pitman arm or tie rod tool up in that area.

You mean from the steering center link?  The idler arm is attached to the K member with a bolt and nut.

Depends on the year; '67 and earlier have a tapered stud and nut, '68 and later have a through bolt and nut.
