Hi,

I just wondered if anyone has a 1969 Charger rear end shot (like from a fair few meters away) that has NOT got the chrome strip under the trunk lid....

I'm thinking Black 69, just not sure how it would look without the chrome bit?

Kinda looking at it like a 70 charger but without the 1 piece looking rear lights.

Any help out there in the dark world?

I don't have a pic, but have seen a few.  To me, the deck lid needs to be extended to fill in the gap.  The gap looks too wide compared to the rest of the body gaps.  The Year One Charger doesn't have the trim if I remember correctly.

Not to hijack but..........

Was this pic taken at Woodley Park Van Nuys, CA? Spring Fling? Fall Fling?

Sure looks like it in the background.

I think the 1970 XH (like what I have) also do this.  I do not have a pic handy, but there are some 1/2 way down on this page: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php?topic=16912.0
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....
