Repo heater hoses - wall too thick.

Speaking of heater hose.  I bought some repo's from Year One.  They are stiff and the wall thickness is way over regular parts store hose.  Anyone else have an issue?  Should I try Classic Industries?  I like the look of the repo stuff so I'd like to stay with that.

Is the inside diameter too small to use them?  If you like them and they work/fit it sounds like a good thing.
If the outside diameter is the question you are asking about I am curious if that's something that others have had an issue with? :scratchchin:

Question---What is the ID and the OD of your hoses?

If they are the correct ones but too stiff you could always put them in boiling water for a few minutes to weaken.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

The problem I have found is that a lot of new hoses have thinner walls - resulting in a smaller O.D.  - which wreaks havoc with factory stock clamps not providing a good tight clamping force around the hose.

The problem I have is the opposite - the wall thickness is close to 1/4" and far too stiff.   :brickwall:  The id is about 17/32"; the od is 15/16".  I'm wondering if there's other repos out there.  :scratchchin:  It's so hard to slide over the heater core and heater valve.  I just redid the valve myself, don't want to compromise the seal.

The stock hoses are pretty thick yeah, not at all like the over the counter stuff.  Heat up the end of the hose in hot water or with a heat gun (be careful), and put some silicone grease like Super Lube on the nipple.  It'll slide right on AND will be easy to remove.  Did so with mine and they came right off when I removed them last month.
