I am wanting to replace my front drums on the '71 R/T charger with discs. What cars would be suitable donors? Would E bodies fit? C body?  Thanks again

'70-'72 B-body, '70-'74 E-body, '73- '76 A-body.

The later F, J, M, R-body will work also work but the spindle is shorter...usually not a problem.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

John, Thanks a bunch. There is a set available to me off an E body.

Taller actually, by 3/8". Still not a problem.

There is a '70 New Yorker sitting in a salvage a buddy owns. Would the parts from this work? I thought it was a C body.

You have it backwards. The spindles are actually considered  "knuckles.  The later versions are  3/8" TALLER.

About the only thing from a C body that you can use is the engine and transmission.....Not much else interchanges.

Not without some modification to the spindle. The bolt holes for the lower ball joint are not the same. Can't use the rotor either, its 1.25 thick whereas a B body rotor is 1".

68charger440

I have the disk setup from a 73 Dart on the front of my 68 Charger. I just had to swap sides and now the calipers are on the back side of the wheel instead of the front.
Here is thread from when I did it.

When someone is absolutely 100% sure they know exactly what your problem is and how to fix it, it's time to ask someone else!
