think if it was really real ,    the  seller   would be asking  triple if not more ,    , going by the current charger pricing trend on ebay

Whats with the black interior, and why isn't the frame bent from a jump

Easily explained 1st it says " the 1st car you saw AFTER the jump" and a lot of these car had black interiors and were often spray dyed.  Bigger question is why the under side of the trunk is orange ?

If you look at the quarters it has the round hole that a 68 had for side markers. And they did use them in the show after they converted the rear pannel, this dose look like that might be the case here. There are even some shots in the show that you can see that spot painted over in orange. It could be but i doubt it to.

Here's your chance to own a piece of history!!! 1969 dodge charger General Lee that was used on the original set of the Dukes of Hazard as the car filming the jumps and the first car you would see after the jumps. this car is in need of everything you can imagine to put it back in its original condition. This car is a rolling chassis only. Warner bros.' policy was that when these cars were hauled to the scrapyard they would pull the vin numbers and destroy the title. Therefore you would need a doner car not only for parts but title and vin as well. If you look closely at the pics you will see the holes in the car were the cameras were installed behind the rebel flag over the back glass. As you know most of these cars were scrapped due to the hard living they endured on the show/ This one fell threw the cracks and has been stored for many years in a barn in south Georgia until I purchased it almost 10 years ago in hopes of restoring it to bring back a piece of history. Due to my busy scedual I have been unable do do this. I have tried to describe this General Lee to the best of my knowlage. I have no other documents or description for this sale. What I am offering for sale is a piece of history, a rolling chassis, NO VIN, NO title, SOLD 100% AS IS. It can be saved if you buy it for $1k and make a stripped-down tube chassis racecar out of it.  That's about the only thing worth doing.



(But don't patch the floor & missing rearend with raw flat sheetmetal, weld in a rollcage to hold the body in shape, borrow a cheap raggedy drivetrain, glue in a cracked windshield, and jump it at Dukesfest - then it becomes a terrible shame.)

How were the tv car marker lights filled in anyway? bondo? or could this be one of those few 68's where the marker lights were painted orange?

They weren't filled just painted over- orange ..you can see that in some of the episodes not sure which ones

I'm just not a fan of vin and title in an envelope, but that's just me.
