Need to sell due to money problems but if not sold will restore, or trade for another project.

I can see why he may have money problems...  :scratchchin:

Not a bad price though.  I wonder if the next owner will keep it stock.

Roof, quarters, doors, trunk, hood, glass, suspension more than likely all good. Great parts for another Chargers restoration since 73/74 parts are not repopped for the most part. Very few 73/74 Chargers really bring any money. Big block 4 speed cars and Rallye cars still get close to $20 to $30,000. But the cost of restoring a car, any car really is well over the value of the car when completed. You cant justify spending much on a 73/74 restoration.

It is cheap parts for a do it yourself restoration of a more desirable 73/74. To overhaul this car how much would it cost? And how much would it be worth when done? This guy has a pretty nice restoration project nobody wants because you can buy nice 73/74 cars for the cost of a restoration alone.      Just my opinion, and I am a 3rd gen guy who would love to see that car back in top shape.

There were 2 slant 6 cars at Carlisle this year that I would have loved to take home and restore as they were.. a 71 Cuda convertible and a 70 Challenger. The challenger was one that I was really lusting after since it would have been perfect for my son.  :icon_smile_big:  I have pics of it somewhere...

That's a very nice car!   :o

Makes me wonder what you would be challenging with that straight 6 though.   ;)

I do like the oddball all original cars and used to love restoring them.  But I found out I'm happiest with something that's customized to my tastes which is why I never wanted an R/T or something that's even remotely rare.  I'll leave those for others.

Here it is    :drool5: :drool5:

I agree....  :drool5:

I could have bought a rusty but running 1970 Barracuda /6, 3 on the tree for $2500 back in 1999.  I passed only because I did not have a place to put it at the time.  One of my organic chemistry students ended up with it.  He was going to restore it back to stock last I knew.  I wonder if it ever got done....

I would someday like to get a bright red 1970 Challenger /6, 3 on the tree to match my /6 Charger....

I turned down a free '73 slant six, three speed Charger back in '80 because I had no place to put it.

If I had the space, I would love a slant 6 charger. Sure, Its no rocket, but nicely restored it will attract more attention than any "tribute" car.

I had a /6 904 1974 Charger that served as my daily for a couple of years about 1989-1990. It set me back a whopping $150. It definitely could have used 2 more cylinders. The  /6 73-74 Charger is  pretty rare car, more so in 74. As rare as they are, I wold not want another one.

I think it would be a fun car to restore.  I've been to several shows with loads of hemi cars but three on the tree cars are still a rarity.  Generally, when I take my three speed Charger to a Charger meet it's the only one there.

RallyeMike

Just noticed this..... Radio delete. Probably somewhat common on a stripped down car like this, but probably the most rare thing about the car overall. It would be interesting to see this car restored next to a fully loaded SE.
