  don't look like iron blocks though  ,   seen something like this at scrap yards , crushing cars , but the engines are removed

Iron blocks or not the machines that can eat them do exist. If you do some net searching around the Tsunami that hit Japan a few years back you will see a lot about these things. They use them to mince up the astronomical pile of debris that was created. I watched a show on the History channel (IIRC) about the design and use of them in the Japanese cleanup operations. Funny thing was the stuff that gave them the most difficulty turned out to be something you might not expect. Fishing nets. Yup, they were made of some nasty strong fibers and would bind up the cutter head. Makes sense as they described the problems (think of how string might bind up a lawnmower) but never would have guessed.
