Do you guys see something that shows it's not a 68 coronet?  I see no round side marker light but the grass could be hiding one.

I have to say it's tough to tell, but I think 6bbl gt nailed it right off.

 never thought about the hood deal        came to the conclusion it too was a 69  , because of the grill , you can see two strips of stainless trim like a 69 , where as a 68 only has one  ,  unless i'm imagining I can see two stainless strips of trim

I'm not sure you have... looks like a '68 coronet 500 with a '69 front clip on it. Marker light is even with bumper and looks rectangular.. 68 is higher up the front fender.

I can see the wheels a turning in Baldwin's head. 

As talented as you are with metal, I'm thinking that using the trunk lid for a hood's gonna be waaay too much work?    

Shoot for a '70 trunk lid, they have pre-cut holes from the factory for go-wings.

Well, i am interested in a coronet/satellite beater to drive around
