AAR Cuda in a junkyard... and NOW a 69 Charger R/T

Soooo.... on the recommendation of a few, I started a YouTube Channel documenting some of the crazy things I find.

I'm slowly making my way through a hidden Muscle Car Junkyard, and just today posted the new video with the AAR 'Cuda sitting in the yard.

https://youtu.be/LTQCacnJhio

And there have been a few other Mopars scattered among the GTO Judges, 396 SS Nova's and Chevelle and Camaro SS's.  Most of the Mopar stuff, including this 1969 Charger R/T will be in next weeks video, and many more after that.

I'm still learning and adapting, so feedback both good and bad is always appreciated.

Yes I know the watermark sucks, it is changing in the new pictures.

Here's the whole article.

The fender tag was still there !!!! Should have grabbed it !!!

I pulled the fender tags and gave them to the owner on the AAR.  They are safe.

They are not for sale right now.  But the yard owner definitely was not against selling stuff here in the future.  I guess his son is not interested in the old stuff.

I love your passion and articles you write.. Great find. Sorry to see another rare car rotting and damaged beyond most of our incomes, to repair.

TheAutoArchaeologist

Indeed, it is sad to see such cool cars rusting away like this.  Atleast they exist and hopefully will someday get rescued.  Happy to hear you enjoy the adventures.

If he's like me, those tags were probably safer on the car. It seems like I don't lose anything until I try to keep it "safe"
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

TheAutoArchaeologist

Glad you guys enjoy the adventures and stories.  Many more to come, and more stuff coming up in Hot Rod, Muscle Car Review, misc others.

And yeah, he might lose them.  But he put them in his desk drawer, so as long as he doesn't move them.  I should know where they are.  And I documented them, along with the VIN for future reference.

Wow a lot of nice cars in there especially in the gm camp.

Thus far, I am just at the beginning of the Mopar area with this AAR.  I have atleast 6-ish more "episodes" that consist of mostly Mopars.

The video with the small glimpse of the 69 Charger R/T is up... not for the faint of heart.

Depressing to me to see all those nice cars just quietly sitting there and rotting away!  At least you have documented their sad existence and I certainly hope someone can and will save some of them.

Thank you gentlemen.  Just wait til I get to the wing cars in the next group...

But atleast they exist.  The guy was not against selling them in the future.  Just not this moment.

Two weeks ago I walked up on a 69 RT/SE 4-speed car sitting in a guy's yard who has probably 100 scattered Mopars everywhere.  I was there to look at consoles for my 68 and found it.  Still had the drivetrain in it.   Was VERY rusty but he wouldn't even throw a number at me when I asked what it would take.

I think he's waiting on the right fool to give him Barrett Jackson money for it.   Amazing how people will sit on these things forever hoping to get the next sucker to bite.
