Took my Charger on it's first road trip Monday.  Drove to Yakima, WA going over Chinook Pass through Mt. Rainier National park; 300 miles round trip.  It was a beautiful sunny day here in the Pacific NW.  The Charger performed flawlessly, had a great time on the road.

Wow, quite the selection of scenic backgrounds to pick from there!  How do you keep your eyes on the road with that around you?

I left early in the morning, enjoyed the road mostly to myself both directions.  I was pretty focused on the driving, certainly demands more attention that the daily driver.  SO much more enjoyable though, the rumble of the 440.  Let it rip a couple times over taking slower vehicles.  Can't wait for the next trip.

It's funny that you mention that!  I had pulled all the other seats prepping to get that hole fixed.  Still working on that.  So I had the only seat in the car.
Guy at the diner poked his head in the car and asked how I shifted it too.
I'd love to get together and do a road trip, maybe a few of us local guys.

Nice to get it out on the first drive of the year! The last pic shows there was a bridge out from the direction the car was coming...How good was it running? :D Beautiful country!!

Beautiful pictures of a great time for sure !!  How many times did you have to stop for gas?  It doesn't matter, really, just wondering.  Enjoying a day out with the Charger on such a nice trip!  It would be awesome to do this.

Couldn't wipe the smile off my face.  I stopped twice for gas, topped off before heading toward the mountain, only needed a couple gallons.  Then I filled up before I headed back west.  Got better mileage than I thought.  I finally replaced the speedometer gear last year to get an accurate MPH, and my first full tank averaged 8 mpg, which is exactally what I thought I'd get.  I was real easy on the car for this cruise, the 440 got 14 mpg with my 3.23 rear end.

I had to stop for a picture when I saw that sign!  I ventured down the road a bit, but didn't find the bridge.  Channeling my inner General Lee!
